More than a dozen Brunswick County schools going back to class Wednesday

BOLIVIA, NC (WWAY) — More than a dozen schools in Brunswick County are going back to class this week, less than 10 days after a storm affected a number of roads.
Last week, the district announced that this would be a full week of remote learning.
Based on the progress made on county roads over the weekend, the district says the following schools will open for face-to-face instruction and normal operations on Wednesday:
North Brunswick High School
West Brunswick High School
The COAST
BCECHS
Leland Middle School
Shallotte Middle School
Town Creek Middle School
Waccamaw School
Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School
Union Elementary School
Supply Elementary School
Lincoln Elementary School
Belville Elementary School
Town Creek Elementary School
Tuesday will be used by the teachers at these schools to transition lesson plans from remote to face-to-face activities.
All other certified employees at closed sites should report to work, if possible. If it is not possible, employees should coordinate with their direct supervisor on a remote work plan. The district says certified staff who are not classroom teachers and classified staff who are unable to report to their normal job site on Wednesday should work directly with their supervisor for approval on a new site location or remote work.
