More turtle-friendly lights approved in Ocean Isle Beach
OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — A policy for turtle-friendly lights has been unanimously approved in Ocean Isle Beach.
The Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization has raised money to replace seven lights on the east end of the beach.
OIB Sea Turtle Protection Organization has agreed to reimburse the Town of Ocean Isle Beach for the additional cost it incurs for replacing/maintaining any additional lights needed.
