Motorcyclist killed in crash on Oleander Drive, Wilmington police say

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger in a vehicle was injured in a crash on Oleander Drive, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Police said it happened around 1:45 pm in the 5900 block of Oleander Drive. When police responded, they found that a motorcycle and a small SUV had been involved in a crash.

The driver of the motorcycle died at the scene. A passenger in the SUV was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

No word yet on how the accident happened or if anyone will face charges. Police are still investigating.
