Movie shot in Wilmington auctions off set pieces


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — You can own a piece of Hollywood East history this weekend.

The motion picture “Bolden,” which has shot for years in and around Wilmington, recently wrapped production. Now it’s auctioning off set dressing, props and items stocked for the film.

An online auction for a quantity of architectural iron, antiqued doors and a number of other items started earlier this week and runs through Tuesday. The live auction is this weekend at 1930-D Castle Hayne Rd. It starts Saturday at 6p.m. and continues Sunday at 1 p.m. An additional live auction sale will be held on Saturday, July 18 at 6 p.m.

All the sales are open to the public. The majority of items represent periods from the 1890s to the 1930s. Included are a large quantity of genuine unique antiques and “simulated” antiques.
