Multi-agency arrest leads to end of mother-son drug operation

CHADBOURN, NC (WWAY) — Mother and son arrested on drug charges in Columbus County.

According to CCSO, Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Vice/Narcotics Division and the Chadbourn Police Department conducted undercover purchases of drugs at a residence they received complaints about.

Both agencies executed a joint raid on the property. During the search, officers uncovered a large amount of drugs, two firearms, and money currency linked to illegal drug sales.

Two people were arrested during the raid and are facing multiple charges:

Gary Fernell Robinson Jr.

• Trafficking Opium or Heroin
• Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Cocaine
• Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Heroin
• Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine
• Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule IV Controlled Substance
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Bond: $75,000 secured

Loretta Brunson

• Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Maintaining a Dwelling for Narcotics Sales
Bond: No Bond (Due to being out on bond already)
