Multiple fire crews respond to home engulfed in flames
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Crews with the Bolivia Fire Department and Winnabow Fire Department responded to a major house fire Wednesday afternoon.
The structure fire happened after 4:00 p.m. off Green Hill Road, with crews arriving to find fire coming out of the roof.
They were able to briefly occupy the interior of the house to extinguish the bulk of the fire, which is believed to have started in the garage.
During suppression efforts the structure continued to deteriorate and crews were brought outside of the structure to continue extinguishment.
No one was injured in the blaze, but officials say the home is a total loss.
The Brunswick County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
