Murray Middle School receives national recognition from Special Olympics

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Special Olympics North Carolina announced that eight Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools including one in New Hanover County are receiving national banner recognition for their efforts to provide inclusive sports and activities for students with and without disabilities for the 2024-25 school year.

Charles P. Murray Middle School among others in North Carolina will be amongst a select number of schools nationwide to receive this distinction. They will be presented with a banner to hang in their school and recognized with other schools around the country that have achieved this distinguished status.
