Myrtle Beach man allegedly broke into restaurant, cooked a meal and left

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WPDE) — Police in Myrtle Beach are looking for a man they say broke into a boardwalk restaurant to cook himself a meal.

A worker says he closed up Abraham’s Gyros around 9 p.m. Tuesday, but returned Wednesday around 8:30 a.m. to find what appeared to be a break-in.

Police say a man wearing a jacket and a baseball hat was seen on city cameras going inside the restaurant via a service window around 11:12 p.m., where he then proceeded to cook himself food and eat it.

He is then seen leaving the restaurant, food in hand, about 25 minutes later, according to the police report.

Officers say they didn’t notice anything else missing or any damage besides a bent service window.

The burglary is still under investigation.
