NC bill would fine slow drivers in left lane

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Ever wish the guy driving too slow in the left lane would get a ticket? He would if a North Carolina lawmaker gets his way.

Sen. Jeff Tarte (R-Mecklenburg Co.) has filed a bill that would give a $200 fine to a driver “impeding the steady flow of traffic” in the left lane.

Tarte filed the bill last week. It passed its first reading this and moved to onto the Committee on Rules and Operations.
