NC Highway Patrol investigating pedestrian collision in downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Editor’s Note: This story has been updated.

Wilmington Police have confirmed a pedestrian was hit in downtown Wilmington late Saturday evening.

Police say around 11 pm, officers were trying to stop someone from riding an ATV on the street near the intersection of S Front Street and Dock Street.

During this, a pedestrian was hit, but WPD did not confirm who hit whom or the pedestrian’s condition.

WPD says the State Highway Patrol is now investigating the incident.
