NC man indicted on Murder and Death by Vehicle charges

PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WWAY) — A North Carolina man has been indicted on second-degree murder and death by vehicle charges.
32-year-old Donald Bowling has been charged in connection to the death of his godfather last year.
Highway Patrol says in May 2025, Bowling was driving a car that was involved in a fatal wreck on NC Highway 210 near State Road 1406.
His godfather, 50-year-old Thanshawn Recordo Howard, was a passenger and died in the crash.
After the crash, Bowling was charged with a number of crimes, including DWI.
