NC woman says she found boy in recycle bin, parents charged
RALEIGH, NC (WRAL) — A man and a woman were arrested for child abuse after a Raleigh woman found a child in her recycling bin Saturday morning, authorities said.
According to a 911 call, the 9- or 10-year-old child was running from his parents on Friday night after he was beaten. The woman told dispatchers the child had a bloody face and that he had escaped from his parents.
Melissa White, who lives near the Greenwood Community Center, said she was taking the trash out when she discovered the child hiding inside the bin.
