NCHSAA releases first round playoff football schedule

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — As the regular season concludes, all eyes turn to the NCHSAA playoffs and our area will see nine teams enter the tournament.

1AA: #11 Pender vs. #6 Lakewood

2A East: #15 Kenan vs. #2 East Bladen #12 Ayden-Grifton vs. #5 Wallace-Rose Hill

2A West: #13 Wheatmore vs. #4 South Columbus, #10 North Wilkes vs. #7 Whiteville

3AA:#15 West Brunswick vs. #2 New Hanover

4AA: #5 Middle Creek vs. #12 Laney

4A: #2 Hoggard – BYE

NCHSAA released Brackets early Saturday based on outdated MaxPreps information. Trask was in the playoffs but given the updated information, they have failed to qualify.
