NCISAA State basketball brackets set with four area teams

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY)–The North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association released their brackets for the State basketball playoffs on Sunday.

In Class 3A girls, the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes were selected as the No.6 seed and will receive a first-round bye. For the first in program history, the Coastal Christian girls find themselves in the State tournament. The Centurions are sporting a 8-16 record and will be on the road at Parrott Academy on Tuesday night.

In Class 3A boys, Cape Fear Academy receives the No.4 seed, being a top four seed gives the Hurricanes a bye until the quarterfinals. Coastal Christian is back in the state tournament for the 4th straight time. They will get to host their first round game. The Centurions will take on Parrott Academy as well. That games will tip-off at 6:30 P.M on Tuesday night.
