NCWorks Career Center offers free fall workshops for job seekers

SHALLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The NCWorks Career Center Brunswick County announces its lineup of free workshops this fall designed to help job seekers strengthen their skills, build confidence, and connect with career opportunities.

Workshops will be held at the NCWorks Career Center, located at 5300-7 Main Street, Shallotte, NC. Seating is limited, and early reservations are encouraged.

Upcoming Workshops:

  • Building Your Resume – September 23 and December 4 at 9:30 AM
    • Learn to create a professional resume that highlights your skills and accomplishments with formatting tips and strategies to stand out to employers.
  • Interview Preparation – October 2 and December 16 at 9:30 AM
    • Practice common interview questions, improve responses to behavioral questions, and learn how to make a professional impression.
  • Finding Your Passion! – October 27 at 10:30 AM
    • Explore your strengths, values, and interests to identify career paths that fit you. Includes career exploration tools and next steps for meaningful work.
  • Navigating NCWorks – October 30 at 9:30 AM
    • Discover how to use the NCWorks system to search for jobs, create an online resume, connect with employers, and access training opportunities.
  • Customer Service Excellence – November 18 at 9:30 AM
    • Build customer service skills including communication, problem-solving, and professionalism — essential for many industries.

Job seekers will gain hands-on guidance from NCWorks staff to strengthen resumes and interview confidence, explore career pathways and training opportunities, access employer connections and job search tools All workshops are free and open to the public.
