New Chick-fil-A opening in Wilmington offers ‘Cows Eat Free’ on opening day

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — On Thursday, Chick-fil-A Shipyard will celebrate its opening, and the community is invited to attend.
Guests of all ages who arrive dressed in cow spots or sporting a cow-spotted accessory on opening day can redeem on free entree or kid’s meal inside the restaurant or in the drive-thru.
North Carolina native Bennett Goss will operate the location at 604 Shipyard Blvd in Wilmington.
“For more than 13 years, Chick-fil-A has been so much more than a workplace for me — it’s been a place to grow, to lead and to serve,” said Goss. “My greatest joy comes from investing in my Team and fostering an environment where both Team Members and Guests feel genuinely valued and cared for. I’m deeply honored for the opportunity to serve the Wilmington community and to be part of its continued growth.”
Goss is celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in Wilmington to aid in the fight against hunger. The location will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. 90 jobs will also be created according to the press release.
