New family recreation venue coming to Surf City

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — A new recreation complex will be coming to Surf City next summer off of Roland Ave. The recreation complex aims to bring fun for all ages. 

High Tides and Good Vibes is the name of the new complex. It will feature 40,000 square feet of bowling, laser tag, an arcade, beer garden, restaurant, bar, and more. Eric Shirley of Four Oaks Capital—the company behind the project—said the community response has been encouraging. 

“We launched our Facebook page about a month and a half ago, and within the first 24 hours we had over 1300 followers. I think that’s just a testament to how the community feels about wanting a product like this in this area,” he said. 

Construction on the new complex will begin soon, with opening expected by Memorial Day next year.
