New Hanover Community Endowment shares update with commissioners
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Commissioners got an update on Monday from the New Hanover Community Endowment.
Monday morning, commissioners received a presentation from Interim Endowment CEO Sophie Dagenais.
The endowment says it’s already allocated more than $30 million to community organizations this year and is set to commit the rest of its $54 million budget by October.
Dagenais says the endowment has given away more than $132 million to date.
She says one of the endowment’s goals is to invest more in early childhood development moving forward.
