New Hanover County NAACP to host 2025 Municipal Candidate Forums in Wilmington

Wilmington, NC — The New Hanover County Branch of the NAACP, in partnership with New Hanover for All and the local chapter of the AFL-CIO, announces two upcoming Municipal Candidate Forums ahead of the 2025 elections.
These forums are designed to provide voters with a unique opportunity to hear directly from candidates and engage in the democratic process.
The forums will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, located at 401 South 8th Street, Wilmington, NC 28401.

The forums are non-partisan and open to the public. All registered candidates have been invited to participate. “We are committed to ensuring that our community has access to the information they need to make informed decisions at the ballot box,” said LeRon Montgomery, President of the New Hanover County NAACP. “These forums are about civic engagement, accountability, and amplifying the voices of our residents.”
