New Hanover County school buses report delays due to CFMB lane closures
NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The lane closures on the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge caused major traffic congestion on Monday morning.
Several New Hanover County school buses were delayed between five to 16 minutes.
One bus took 20 minutes to cross the Isabel Holmes bridge around 7:00 a.m., according to school officials. Stops for that run were picked up by another bus driver; otherwise, the bus would have been 30 minutes late.
The school says there was also increased congestion on 133 due to more cars exiting I-140.
