New Hanover County Veteran Services relocating to Health and Human Services main building next month

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The New Hanover County Veteran Services is relocating to the Health and Human Services building at 1650 Greenfield Street next month.
The change will begin on July 1st.
In-person assistance at the current offices inside the Health and Human Services Annex at 1507 Greenfield Street will continue until noon on June 27th. At that time, Veteran Services will close for the remainder of the day and all day on June 28th to relocate.
During this period, Veteran Services will provide limited virtual assistance over the phone. In-person assistance at the new offices will begin on July 1st.
“Our goal is to offer the best support and assistance to those who served our country in the Armed Services as well as their eligible family members by connecting them with the resources available to them,” said Director of Veteran Services Betsy Graham. “We’re excited to work with those who need our help at our new offices inside the Health and Human Services building starting in July.”
New Hanover County Veteran Services assists veterans and their families by identifying eligibility and helping them apply for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs and other agencies. More information is available at the Veteran Services website or by calling 910-798-7611.
