New Hanover edges Croatan 16-15

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – New Hanover girls lacrosse picked up a narrow 16-15 home win over Croatan on Wednesday.

Maizie Lewis led the Wildcats with five goals. Blaire Mickle added another four. Elizabeth Sifly scored with eight seconds remaining in the 1st quarter with a shot that bounced between the goalie’s legs.

New Hanover improves to 11-2 on the season and is currently 3rd in the MEC standings behind Topsail and Hoggard.
