WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) — New Hanover boys soccer improved to 3-0 on the season after a Tuesday home win over Coastal Christian.

Around 12 minutes in, the Centurions turned the ball over in their own territory. Keinner Martinez picked it up and shot the ball into the net to open the scoring.

With around 12 minutes left in the 1st half, another Coastal turnover led to another score. Deyson Castillo sprinted to track down the ball before tapping it in past the goalkeeper.

The two sides traded goals early in the 2nd half before Ben Loper headed one in with around five minutes ago to pad the lead.

“It was great, to be honest,” Castillo said. “With the great runs in behind, it was so perfect. It was great goals. It was so important. The difference was great. We slept for a little bit, but we had a great time coming off of that. The potential that I feel in my team is great. We could go far from here.”
