New traffic pattern coming to Brunswick County intersection

WINNABOW, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County intersection will soon see a traffic pattern change as the N.C. Department of Transportation converts it into an all-way stop.

NCDOT officials announced that stop signs and pavement markings will be installed on Bell Swamp Road at its intersection with Bell Swamp Connection on Monday, weather permitting.

The decision to implement an all-way stop follows a safety review conducted by NCDOT, which analyzed traffic volumes and crash patterns. Officials determined the change is the most cost-effective way to enhance safety at the intersection.

Drivers are urged to remain alert and cautious while crews work on the installation.
