New traffic signals, pedestrian crosswalks being added to Wilmington’s Cargo District

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The NCDOT is installing new traffic signals and pedestrian crosswalks in the Cargo District.
Work will take place on Queen Street at the crossing of 16th and 17th streets, and on Castle Street at the crossing at 16th and 17th.
The NCDOT says the Queen Street intersections will have curb ramps installed and the Castle Street intersections will see pedestrian and signal improvements.
The project is scheduled to wrap up this year.
