New year, new start: Refugee support program introduces yoga for healing, integration

MYRTLE BEACH S.C. (WPDE) — “New year, new me.” It’s a popular saying at the beginning of the year and usually has to do with some sort of lifestyle change.
However, for a certain group of people, this new year will be the start of a new life entirely.
Gyms will be packed, fridges will be stocked with healthier foods and many will begin to put their New Year resolutions in motion.
People will try all of the different fitness fads like yoga, pilates and strength training but others will get their workouts by packing up and moving to a new country seeking refuge.
