NHCS bus involved in accident while carrying students

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County school bus was involved in a car accident Saturday while carrying students from Ashley High School.

According to NHCS Assistant Superintendent Dr. Rick Holliday, JROTC cadets were coming back from a drill meet in the Raleigh/Durham area. While driving on I-40, a vehicle with a flat bed scraped the side of the bus, but continued driving.

Holliday said, no one was injured and the bus only suffered minor damage allowing them to return back to New Hanover County later today.
