Nightly road closures for portion of River Road to start next week

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a portion of River Road in New Hanover County for resurfacing work beginning Sunday night.

Crews will conduct nightly road closures of the roundabout at River Road and Sanders Road in Wilmington beginning at 9 p.m. on Sunday, October 19th. The road will close every night at 9 p.m. and reopen each morning at 6 a.m.

The road and roundabout are expected to fully reopen Friday, October 24th at 6 a.m.
