BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Law enforcement’s job is to serve and protect. Saturday morning near Leland, a couple of Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies showed that doesn’t just apply to people.
WWAY found the deputies trying to help corral a mini horse that had gotten out of its pen. The deputies and the animal’s owners used food and patience to keep the horse out of traffic as they tried to wrangle the horse along Lanvale Road near Old Fayetteville Road.
A sheriff’s office spokeswoman says they were eventually able to get the mini horse back to its pen nearby safe and sound.
