No more cabanas allowed at Sunset Beach

SUNSET BEACH, NC (WWAY) – If you’re planning a vacation in Sunset Beach, leave those cabanas at home.

During a town council meeting last night, both supporters and non-supporters spoke on whether cabanas should be allowed on the beach.

According to a news release, after a lengthy discussion, town council voted 3-2 to ban cabanas.

Staff is now drafting language to amend the ordinance.
