North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce reacts to candidates coming to Cape Fear

LELAND, NC (WWAY) — On Wednesday republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will make two stops in the Cape Fear. First he will tour the Port of Wilmington and then he will head over the river to Manufacturing Methods in Leland.

“It’s an exciting time to have someone on a national level come to southeastern North Carolina,” said Michael Braddock president of the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. “Regardless of party affiliation, to have the spotlight focused in on southeastern North Carolina and more specifically Brunswick County and Leland is a wonderful thing on a national level.”

Braddock said Manufacturing Methods is one of a number of up-and-coming businesses in the area. He believes that growth is why candidates choose this area to campaign.

“It’s such a beautiful area. There are so many people moving here from so many different parts of the country. We’re one of the top rated counties in the nation and one of the fastest growing municipalities in the state,” Braddock said.

He adds NC could go red or blue in the election, so candidates come to this area because they are vying for the North Carolina vote.
