North Whiteville Fire Department warns drivers against travel as road conditions worsen.
Whiteville, NC (WWAY) — The North Whiteville Fire Department is warning drivers to use caution driving on the roads only when absolutely necessary as winter weather hits the region.
The fire department says Rescue, Fire, EMS, and Highway Patrol vehicles need as much room as possible.
They say many roads are covered in snow, lane lines are not visible, and driving packs the snow down, making conditions even more slick and dangerous.
The fire department asks people to stay home if they do not have to travel.
