North Carolina offers free fishing on July Fourth
RALEIGH (AP) — You can fish for free this July Fourth.
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is encouraging more people to get outside and to the water.
From midnight to eleven-59 p-m Wednesday, anyone can fish in any public water without a fishing license or a trout stamp. It applies to fresh and coastal waters.
Some fishing regulations and restrictions will still be in effect. This includes size and reel limits and bait and tackle restrictions. Park use fees also apply.
