Northwest Annual Christmas Festival and Parade

NORTHWEST, NC (WWAY) — The holiday season is officially underway in the Northwest community, with the annual Christmas Festival bringing festive cheer to the area.

The event kicked off with a lively parade, setting the tone for a day of family-friendly fun. Afterwards, attendees had the chance to explore various vendors offering food, holiday trinkets, and local goods.

Families also enjoyed taking pictures with Santa and dancing to the DJ.

Shaunetta Hannah, owner of Hannah B’s Sweets, shared her special connection to the festival. She’s been a part of it for as long as she can remember.

“It’s like a full circle. I used to grow up being in the parade with Northwest drill team and now I’m here as a vendor with my business. I even see people that always say, ‘Hey, I knew you when you were little,’ now are coming to my booth and buying some of our sweet treats. It’s just—it is an honor and a blessing actually.”
