Novant Health begins renovations on new medical office building in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Novant Health is beginning renovations on a new medical office building. 

The building on Converse Rd. in Wilmington was previously the site of a Verizon Wireless call center. 

The 153,500 square foot floor plan will feature several clinics including lab services, imagining and infusion therapy. 

Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center President Ernie Bovio said the location in central Wilmington is ideal to expand specialty services and provide greater coverage to the area. 

“We’re really trying to accelerate our capacity building, creating more access for patients to our services, and this is going to allow us to do that,” Bovio said. 

Bovio added renovation of the building will take around eighteen months.
