Novant Health to open new weight loss clinic in Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Novant Health is opening a new clinic in Wilmington focused on weight loss.
The clinic located at 1099 Medical Center Drive will specialize in nutrition services and medical weight loss.
Novant Health said it’s the first clinic of its kind in our area.
Dr. Borden Hooks is a surgeon that will be working out of the clinic. He said the services the clinic provides will go beyond seeing a nutritionist.
“And then there will also be access to counselors, there will be access physicians and surgeons, so I think it’s going to be almost a one stop shop, as opposed to having to bounce around to different places,” Hooks said.
The new clinic will open on Wednesday.
