Ocean Isle Beach town leaders set to propose tax increase

OCEAN ISLE BEACH (WWAY) — Ocean Isle Beach town council will consider a budget proposal next month that includes a property tax increase.

It would raise the tax rate from 15.5 cents to almost 19 cents per $100.

Town leaders say this is due to the tax revaluation that decreased the town’s tax base by about $128 million.

A public meeting will be held June 9th at 9 a.m.
