One injured, dog killed in Murrayville house fire
MURRAYVILLE, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire off Murrayville Road on Monday morning.
When crews arrived around 7:30 am, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames.
One dog was rescued from the home, but a second dog did not survive the fire, according to NHCFR.
EMS transported the home’s resident to the hospital by Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment. No word on their injuries.
The NHCFR Office of the Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
