One man injured in Wilmington shooting
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that left one man injured.
According to police spokeswoman Jennifer Dandron, officials responded to the 900 block of Rankin Street just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night because of a ShotSpotter alert that indicated several rounds of gunshots.
When they arrived, officers found Gerald Jacobs, 36, of Wilmington, had sustained two gunshot wounds. EMS transported Jacobs to New Hanover Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
