One-on-one with UNCW’s Kevin Keatts

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — UNCW defeated Catawba in a men’s basketball exhibition game on Saturday 97-68.

After the game we went courtside to get the new coach’s take on the exhibition victory along with a look ahead to the season opener this coming Friday against Old Dominion.

“It was two different games,” Kevin Keatts said. “I thought we played tight in the first half. We got our guys to settle down in the second half. We just went out and played UNC Wilmington basketball. It was good for those guys to come out and have highs and lows in a basketball game, because that’s what you’ll have during the season.”
