WILMINGTON, NC (SHARKS RELEASE) — Trailing 4-2, the Wilmington Sharks (6-6) put together a three run eighth inning to give them a lead they would keep over the Morehead City Marlins (7-5) eventually leading the Sharks to an 8-4 win.

With two on, Ward Coleman dropped a sacrifice bunt that was overthrown into right and two runners scored. The game was tied, and Cletis Avery (Presbyterian) hit an RBI single to give Wilmington the lead. The Sharks weren’t done yet, as they added three more runs in the eighth, two from a Ward Coleman double.
