ONWASA warns of deceiving sales packets about water concerns

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The CEO of ONWASA is warning customers about a deceiving mailer they may receive recently.

CEO Jeff Hudson, who received one of the mailers himself, says the mailers look similar to an official packet from the health department.

He says the package claims that they’re required to do a home water test, but Hudson said this letter is coming from Carolina Fresh Water trying to do a sales pitch.

Hudson says ONWASA has received more than a dozen phone calls about the safety of their water.

Regardless of what this mailer says, Hudson wants customers to know the water coming from ONWASA is safe.
