Operation Pretty Things expands in the Harrelson Center

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Operation Pretty Things is a non-profit dedicated to loving and empowering victims of domestic violence and sexual assault celebrated their expanded suite in the Harrelson Center Friday.

With the expanded space there is room for volunteer opportunities to give gifts to shelters and create boxes for middle schoolers with resource information.

There is also a spot for the ‘Care4 Program’ for women to get their hair and make-up done before they need to sit in front of their abusers in court.

Founder and executive director of Operation Pretty Things’ — Missy Bennett says it all started in a living room.

“And we are now taking up an even more prominent position in this building that represents hope and healing and restoration and redemption. Just to be a little part of that,” Bennett shared.

Bennett adds that community support is encouraged. You can find the link on how to get involved here: Operation Pretty Things.
