WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (SAINTS) — The New Orleans Saints 2016 Training Camp Presented by Verizon will feature a total of 22 practices, starting at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.V. and ending at their Metairie practice facility.
The Saints will open 2016 Training Camp Presented by Verizon on Wednesday, July 27 when all players report to The Greenbrier for physicals, meetings and their strength and conditioning tests. The Saints will begin on-field workouts in a non-padded practice session on Thursday, July 28 from 9:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m. The team will hold their first padded practice on Saturday, July 30 from 9:30-12:20.
On Monday, August 8, the team will travel to New England for two days of joint practices with the Patriots in Foxborough, Mass. on Tuesday and Wednesday followed by the preseason opener for both clubs on Thursday. The team will return to practice at The Greenbrier from Saturday, August 13-Tuesday, August 16 before departing the following day for Houston where they will hold joint practices with the Texans on Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19. On Saturday, August 20, the Saints will play the Texans at NRG Stadium and then return to New Orleans. Following four days of practices at their Metairie training facility from Monday, August 22-Thursday, August 25, the Saints host their first preseason game of 2016 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Friday, August 26 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Following the August 25 practice, training camp will conclude. More extensive fan and media details regarding the joint practices with the Patriots and Texans will be available at a later date.
