Overturned truck causes temporary road closure

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A Wilmington road was shut down this afternoon after a truck overturned.

It happened in the six-hundred block of Sunnyvale Drive between Carolina Beach Road and River Road just before 12:30 p.m.

Police said no one was hurt.

Duke Energy Progress was called to the scene to fix a leaning power pole.

Everything is back to normal at this time.
