Ownership change on the horizon for Wilmington Sharks

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The wheels are in motion for an ownership change in the near future for the Wilmington Sharks. We spoke with a source close to the situation who confirmed there’s a paper agreement between the Wilmington Sharks and National Sports Services. More information here on National Sports Services.

Matt Perry is the president of National Spots Services. Perry is a former Wilmington resident. Smith Family Baseball Wilmington, LLC purchased the Wilmington in 2014. There have been a handful of owners for the Coastal Plains League team over the years.
