Pair arrested after police found cocktail of drugs at Wilmington home

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Two people are behind bars after police say they found more than 150 units of heroin along with a cocktail of other drugs at a Wilmington home.

The Wilmington Police Department’s Special Investigations Division arrested Angela Marie Johnson, 52, and Glen Arthur Lee, 56, for their connection to trafficking heroin in the Port City earlier this week.

Johnson, of Wilmington, was wanted by police for three counts of trafficking heroin from a warrant obtained earlier this year, while Lee, also of Wilmington, was wanted for felony accessory after the fact for harboring Johnson.

According to a news release, police executed a search warrant in 5400 block of Widgeon Drive on Thursday afternoon, which yielded 159 dosage units of heroin, a small marijuana growing operation, and small quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, Suboxone and Xanax.

Johnson is charged with 3 counts trafficking heroin possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession of schedule II controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance, possession of schedule III controlled substance, maintain a dwelling for use, storage, or sale of a controlled substance, and resist, delay, and obstruct public officers.

Lee is charged with accessory after the fact, simple possession of marijuana, and maintain a dwelling for use, storage, or sale of a controlled substance.

Johnson is being held at the New Hanover County Jail without bond. Lee was given a $19,000 secured bond.
