Parsley Elementary donates books to school impacted by Matthew

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  While Hurricane Matthew happened months ago, many are still rebuilding after the event. Lumberton was one the hardest hit.

Walter Parsley Elementary donated several books to West Lumberton Elementary, who lost nearly everything even their library.

According to their Facebook page, Parsley Elementary held a book drive back in December and last Friday all the books were delivered to West Lumberton.

Mr. Walters and his children took the books collected and presented them to their librarian, Stephanie Thomas. The entire elementary school is currently sharing a campus with the Junior High.
