Penalty kick sparks 4-1 WCA win over Hilltop

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WWAY) – A slow start turned into a strong finish for WCA girls soccer in a 4-1 home win over Hilltop Christian on Thursday.
The visitors got on the board ten minutes into the game off a crossing pass connected to a wide open Anna Matthews.
Later in the 1st half, Lauren Steinhauer was taken down inside the box to draw a penalty kick. Kayli Altobello-Clark blasted it home to even things up.
The Patriots would add three more in the 2nd half. The win gives WCA a perfect record in conference play this season.
