Pender Co. Commission to hold special meeting on school bond
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Pender County Board of Commissioners will hold a special meeting this week to discuss the $75 million school bond passed by voters in 2014.
A press release said discussion may include the status of the construction projects, timing of the sale of the General Obligation bonds and other matters connected to the bonds.
The release also said the board may go into closed session pursuant to NCGS 143- 318.11(3)(4) to consult an attorney to preserve the attorney client privilege and to consider matters related to the location or expansion of a business or industry, including possible incentives. It said no vote on an incentive package will be taken except after notice and a public hearing.
The special public meeting is at 3:00 pm on Thursday in the Pender County Public meeting room located at 805 S. Walker St, Burgaw, NC.
